willier-headshotProfessor William Willier taught at BC Law from 1960 until his death in December 1985. He was an expert on the Uniform Commercial Code and a staunch supporter of consumer protection laws and policies.

Professors Willier and Hart were at the forefront of the emerging U.C.C. It continues 54 years later and is one of BC Law’s premier law reviews.

Professor Willier was also the principal father of The Boston College Industrial and Commercial Law Review. He helped to assemble the first staff and marshall their energies and efforts, and was its faculty moderator for several years. Upon Professor Willier’s death, Father Drinan wrote: “The editors and staff members of the early years of the review had an extraordinary respect for Bill Willier bcause of his devotion to their law review and to them. For his dedication to the creation and the flowering of its law review, The Boston College Law School will always hold Bill Willier in grateful memory.”
